Abstract
Banyak mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan memahami pelajaran
bahasa Arab. Kesulitan ini umumnya terlihat dari
ketidakmampuan para mahasiswa dalam menulis dan
berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan bahasa Arab dalam
perkuliahan. Ironisnya problematika tersebut bukan saja dialami
oleh mahasiswa yang bukan jurusan atau prodi pendidikan
Bahasa Arab, bahkan mahasiswa yang bergelut dengan allughah
al-arabiyah ini, yang berada pada jurusan pendidikan
Bahasa Arab, merekalah yang sering mengalami problem dalam
berbahasa. Problema tersebut, juga didasari oleh minim dan
lemahnya kemampuan mahasiswa terhadap penguasaan dan
punggunaan kosa kata.Tulisan sederhana ini mendeskripsikan
upaya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran bahasa Arab melalui
pelatihan dan pembelajaran berbasis kosa kata di Prodi PBA
IAIN Langsa
