Abstract

This community service aims to improve the learning quality of children in Alue Drien Village through the implementation of the Bimbingan Belajar Gampong program, a form of non-formal education designed to strengthen subject comprehension, foster learning enthusiasm, and create an educational environment outside of school. The program is also expected to serve as a means to raise community awareness about the importance of education in shaping the future of the village’s younger generation. The community service methodology used is a descriptive qualitative method with a participatory approach. Activities began with field observation, program planning, community outreach, and the implementation of learning sessions for more than one month at Meunasah Gampong. The program targeted children from early childhood education (PAUD), elementary (SD), to junior high school (SMP) levels, with learning materials tailored to the needs and ages of the participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews with parents and students, as well as documentation of the activities. The results of the community service showed an increase in children’s learning motivation and comprehension, along with positive support from parents and the wider community for the program’s continuity. The initiative also fostered student engagement in the educational development of the village and became a model of community service that can be replicated or sustained by local youth with support from the village government.
