The humanitarian issues faced by the Rohingya refugees, such as limited infrastructure, low legal awareness, and lack of access to religious education, highlight the importance of educational intervention for refugees. The Rohingya refugee camp in Sungai Raya, East Aceh Regency, was chosen as the location for the Community Service Program (PkM) conducted by the Faculty of Sharia IAIN Langsa. The aim of this program is to provide education and spiritual guidance to children and legal counseling to adults, with the goal of increasing legal awareness, psychological resilience, and understanding of Islam. The method used was a participatory approach with a focus on two-way dialogue. The results of this activity showed an increase in participant engagement, particularly among children and adults, in educational programs, spiritual guidance, and legal counseling. Collaboration with external partners such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Puspelkessos Panton Labu also contributed to the success of the program. Despite challenges such as language barriers and limited resources, this activity successfully had a positive impact on the refugees by enhancing their understanding of their legal rights and religious education. This program emphasizes the importance of flexibility and collaboration in providing interventions to vulnerable groups such as refugees, with a responsive and sustainable community service model.
Muhammad FirdausZainal MuttaqinRahmad SafitriMuhammad Nur AmbiaVika Okta Vianika

This community service aims to enhance religious digital literacy among Madrasah Aliyah students through the use of technology in Qur’anic studies. The activity is motivated by the urgent need to integrate technological advancements into Islamic learning processes, particularly in understanding the content and interpretation of the Qur’an in a more interactive, flexible, and engaging manner for the younger generation. The focus of the program is directed at third-year students of MAN 1 Kota Langsa, who have not yet fully utilized digital tools in their Qur’anic learning. The service methodology employs a participatory and educational approach, utilizing training sessions, application demonstrations, digital learning simulations, and group discussions. Data were collected through direct observation, brief interviews, and the distribution of simple questionnaires to participants. The training materials included the introduction of digital Qur’an applications, the use of online platforms such as YouTube and Islamic podcasts for Qur’anic studies, and digital ethics in accessing Islamic content. The results of the service activity showed an increased understanding among participants regarding the use of technology as a learning tool for the Qur’an. Participants were able to operate digital applications such as Qur’an Kemenag, Ayat, and TafsirWeb. In addition, small study groups were formed that actively used technology in their Qur’anic activities. Overall, the program successfully fostered enthusiasm for learning and digital-based Islamic literacy, while also strengthening the synergy between academics and Islamic educational institutions in addressing the challenges of the digital era.
Wali RamadhaniSaifuddin SaifuddinMasdalifah SembiringNurul HusnaMawardi MawardiMohd. http://journal.iainlangsa.ac.id/index.php/azzawiyah/article/view/11300

Pulo Breuh is one of the islands located in Pulo Aceh. Pulo Breuh has great potential in several sectors such as fisheries, agriculture, and tourism. However, the condition of education and skills remains a major challenge for the local community. Therefore, the development of Human Resources (HR) is needed to improve the quality of life of the people and to advance the region. The focus of this research is on the analysis of the need for experts in accordance with the potentials and challenges faced in Pulo Aceh. The aim of this research is to examine the human resource development of Pulo Breuh based on the need for experts and skilled workers to accelerate the development of Pulo Aceh. The methods used include observation and interviews. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant gap between the demand for experts and the availability of qualified local human resources. Therefore, targeted training programs and collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and the private sector are required to develop relevant skills. By enhancing human resource development, it is expected that productivity will increase, local resources will be optimally utilized, and the community’s economy will be strengthened. Human resource development based on the need for experts and skilled workers is expected not only to strengthen regional competitiveness but also to create sustainable employment opportunities, thereby supporting the holistic and inclusive progress of Pulo Aceh.
Fitri IdaniMardin MardinMurni RasmiatiPriti Dwi RahmawatiMutia Nabila

http://journal.iainlangsa.ac.id/index.php/azzawiyah/article/view/12440

This community service aims to provide direct humanitarian assistance to the people of Sudan affected by armed conflict and a prolonged humanitarian crisis. The primary focus of the initiative is the provision of basic necessities such as food, clean water, healthcare, as well as psychosocial and educational support for children and refugee families in the regions of Port Sudan and Kasala. In addition to alleviating the burden of the victims, this service also seeks to raise international public awareness—particularly among Muslim-majority countries—about the humanitarian emergency unfolding in Sudan. The service methodology employs a direct, participatory approach in the field, involving observation, informal interviews, logistical distribution, and the implementation of the qurban (sacrificial meat distribution) program managed by Yayasan Mawar Pulau Pinang. Data were collected from field documentation, interactions with refugee communities, and information from local volunteer partners. The analysis was carried out using a descriptive-qualitative approach to portray the actual conditions and urgent needs of the affected population. The results of the service show that, despite limitations in resources and access, the program successfully delivered significant impact by meeting the immediate needs of refugees and rekindling a sense of hope and solidarity. In addition to aid distribution, this community service has also established a community-based social intervention model that can serve as a reference for similar initiatives in the future.
Farwah bin Ahmad Fahmi
