Abstract

Pertumbuhan ekonomi adalah salah satu indikator yang digunakan untuk menentukan tingkat kesejahteran suatu negara baik negara maju maupun negara berkembang. Ada dua faktor yang memiliki kontribusi kuat dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi, yaitu financial development dan perdagangan internasional. Perkembangan kedua faktor ini dapat menghasilkan pengaruh yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi hal ini disebabkan oleh adanya guncangan eksternal seperti krisis. Selain itu perbedaan pengaruh juga dapat disebabkan oleh perbedaan sistem pemerintahan dan kebijakan setiap negara baik negara maju maupun negara berkembang sehingga respon yang dihasilkan terhadap guncangan eksternal juga berbeda. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran financial development dan perdagangan internasional terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di negara maju dan berkembang dengan mempertimbangkan adanya krisis keuangan global yang terjadi pada tahun 2008. Data yang digunakan adalah data tahunan dari tahun 2000-2016 dengan jumlah cross section sebanyak 17 negara maju dan 46 negara berkembang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum dan sesudah terjadi krisis, financial development memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan negatif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, namun pengaruh financial development di negara maju lebih besar dibandingkan di negara berkembang. Sedangkan perdagangan internasional tidak memiliki perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan selama periode sebelum dan sesudah krisis. Namun perdagangan internasional memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan positif baik di negara maju maupun negara berkembang
