Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, is affecting human health and hygiene worldwide. Maintaining hand hygiene is very important to stop the spread of the virus. Washing hands and using hand sanitizer have been recognized as effective methods to prevent the spread of the virus. Awareness campaigns about the importance of hand washing have increased as the virus spreads. This research is a literature review that combines data from various sources. Data was collected from national journals and analyzed critically to get a better picture of the effectiveness of hand hygiene awareness raising campaigns during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This method is descriptive and analyzes data from various sources to present comprehensive information. The research results show that this campaign has increased people's knowledge and behavior regarding hand hygiene. Campaigns are carried out in various ways, such as socializing, teaching, providing hand washing tools, showing examples, and conducting online campaigns. The aim is to increase public awareness about the importance of washing hands regularly and correctly to prevent the spread of the corona virus.
