Abstract
This research employs Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis and the agenda-setting theory to analyze the film "Teach Me Islam" and understand the attitude of tolerance in Indonesia. Within the constructivist paradigm and using a qualitative descriptive method, the study reveals that the film portrays a positive attitude of religious tolerance in Indonesia, emphasizing the importance of respecting and understanding differences in maintaining interfaith harmony. The values of tolerance depicted in the film include allowing religious freedom, respecting differences in beliefs, and fostering good relationships among different religious communities. The research findings provide valuable insights into the role of media, particularly films, in promoting religious tolerance and harmony in Indonesia, while highlighting the significance of semiotic analysis and agenda-setting theory in comprehending the messages conveyed through media.
