However, in reality, many interpretations remain trapped in rigid and dogmatic textual reasoning, hindering the renewal of thought in a modern context. This study aims to explore the contribution of Mohammad Abed Al-Jabiri in building Islamic epistemology through the philosophy of language, focusing on his critique of the textualist bayani reasoning and his proposal to integrate burhani rationality to renew methods of interpreting religious texts. The research method employed in this study is a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, analyzing Al-Jabiri’s thought and its application within the context of Islamic epistemology. The results indicate that Al-Jabiri’s ideas are relevant in addressing the challenges of globalization and modernity within Islamic discourse. By emphasizing the importance of a rational and contextual understanding of language, Al-Jabiri offers a new approach that can renew perspectives on religious texts, making them more progressive and open to contemporary developments. This study contributes to efforts to enrich Islamic epistemological discourse in a more flexible and dynamic direction.
2025-06-29T23:03:11+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Awaluddin Awaluddin https://journal.iainlangsa.ac.id/index.php/juip/article/view/11063 Efisiensi dan Efektivitas dalam Al-Qur'an: Perspektif Manajerial Islam 2025-07-05T10:30:46+08:00 M. Husni Mubaraq [email protected]
Efficiency and effectiveness are two fundamental pillars of modern management, often used as benchmarks for organizational success in both the public and private sectors. However, contemporary managerial approaches, dominated by rational-secular paradigms, frequently neglect moral and spiritual dimensions, leading to ethical crises, resource waste, and social inequality. This study aims to explore and interpret the concepts of efficiency and effectiveness in the Qur’an within the framework of Islamic managerial principles. The method used is library research with a thematic interpretation (maudhu’i) approach to selected Qur’anic verses, synthesized with Islamic management literature. The findings reveal that the Qur’an contains managerial principles that emphasize trustworthiness (amanah), optimal management of time and resources, and goal achievement oriented toward public benefit (maslahah) and divine blessing (barakah). In Islam, efficiency is not merely about cost-saving but also carries spiritual value as an act of worship; whereas effectiveness requires the alignment of objectives with eternal values. These findings lay the foundation for constructing a more holistic, ethical, and contextual Qur’anic management model.
2025-07-05T10:14:28+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 M. Husni Mubarrak
