Al-Muamalat: Jurnal Hukum dan Ekonomi Syariah is an academic scholarly journal published by Jurusan Hukum Ekonomi Syariah (sharia economic law department), IAIN Langsa, since 2017. This journal was published twice a year, in June and December. This journal has specifications in the field of Sharia economic law. This journal is expected to contribute to academics studying Sharia economic law, especially in the field of economic law, both from the aspect of Islamic law and civil law in an Islamic economy that has been applicable in Indonesia. This journal has been a CrossRef member since the year 2018. Therefore, all articles published by this journal will have unique DOI numbers.

The scope of scientific articles published in this journal is a broad topic in the field of sharia economic law and comparative law in sharia economics. Thus, this journal contains legal studies such as Sharia Economic Law, Muamalah Fiqh, Contract Law in Islam, Comparison of Sharia Economic Law, Studies of the Sharia Economic Institution, and Resolving Sharia Economic Disputes. This journal welcomes contributions from scholars from related disciplines to publish research on Al-Muamalat: Jurnal Hukum dan Ekonomi Syariah.

This journal has been "Accredited" SINTA-4  based on the Decree of the Director-General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia in February 2023, and effective until 2027.
