The Mandau weapon is an essential part of the cultural identity of the Dayak people, passed down from generation to generation. Amid the currents of modernization, efforts to preserve and revitalize local culture, including traditional weapon design, are necessary to prevent the loss of its cultural significance and philosophical values. This research examines the historical and aesthetic aspects of the Mandau, integrating the Djata motif as a symbol of protection and strength. The method includes an interview with a Mandau weapon craftsman, documentation, and a visual analysis of traditional Dayak motifs. The results indicate that the Djata motif in the Mandau design can strengthen cultural values and enrich the traditional art repertoire of Dayak Ngaju.
2025-03-13T09:26:57+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Endah Yusma Pratiwi, Nawung Asmoro Girindraswari, Marrisa Aulia Mayangsari, Andi Arie Astuti https://journal.iainlangsa.ac.id/index.php/tarbawi/article/view/10781 Experimentation of Basic Level BIPA Teaching Materials on Reading Proficiency at Islam Wittaya School 2025-03-25T10:06:30+08:00 Ulfani Ulfani [email protected] Mutia Febriyana [email protected]
This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of the BIPA teaching material "Fluent Reading of Letter Combinations" in improving the reading skills of elementary-level students at Islam Wittaya School. The research employs a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consists of 10 students from class 3/1 Mattayom at Islam Wittaya School, selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected through reading proficiency tests and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The prerequisite tests included normality and homogeneity tests, while the hypothesis test was conducted using a paired sample t-test. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' reading skills after using the teaching material. The posttest mean score was higher than the pretest score, and the number of students who achieved the Proficient category increased. The normality and homogeneity tests confirmed the validity of the data distribution, while the t-test results showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. In conclusion, the BIPA teaching material "Fluent Reading of Letter Combinations" is effective in improving the reading skills of elementary-level BIPA students
2025-03-25T10:06:30+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Ulfani Ulfani; Mutia Febriyana https://journal.iainlangsa.ac.id/index.php/tarbawi/article/view/10898 Religion & Feminism: Inheritance Law in the Perspective of Gender Equality 2025-06-11T06:49:38+08:00 Abdul Halim [email protected] Muzakkir Fuad [email protected] Darmadi Darmadi [email protected] Cindenia Puspasari [email protected]
Feminism is now attracting the attention of Muslims as a result of the influence of globalization. This is because these studies never stop being debated. The aim of this article is to understand 3 things: First, the Islamic education paradigm at that time. Second, the factors that influence it. Third, positive and negative implications for the ignorant society. The method used is library research with an article review approach based on Harold Laswell's theory. Data were collected using literature review procedures and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results found 3 things: First, there are 5 forms of paradigm: (1) Goal: education as the transmission of religious, social and cultural values (2) Material: ancestral beliefs, tribal traditions, life skills, poetry (3) Method: informal through oral traditions and practices (4) Murshid: tribal leader and poet. (5) Students: Arab society. Second, internal factors: (1) Brave soul (2) Likes to give alms (3) Virtuous. The external factors: (1) Natural conditions (2) Social conditions (3) Cultural acculturation. Third, positive implications: (1) High sense of solidarity (2) Survival skills (3) Development of Arabic literature. Meanwhile, the negative implications: (1) Idolatry (2) Limited access to education (3) Racial, feudal and patriarchal character. The conclusion of this article shows that the social history of Islamic education in the pre-prophetic period had progressed, even though it was simple.
2025-06-19T01:13:14+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Zuhur Diana, Zulfi Mubaraq, Lintang Ramadhani, Aris Rohmatul Maula https://journal.iainlangsa.ac.id/index.php/tarbawi/article/view/11233 Personal Branding of Generation Z Through Jaipong Dance: A Case Study at Sanggar Seni Cahaya Kancana 2025-06-26T03:29:56+08:00 Jihan Julyanti Yuhdi [email protected] Siti Komariah [email protected] Mirna Nur Alia Abdullah [email protected]
Generation Z faces increasing challenges in forming their sense of self. This study explores how traditional arts, particularly Jaipong dance, can serve as a medium for personal branding through informal learning. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected via observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of active members of Sanggar Seni Cahaya Kancana in Garut, West Java. The findings suggest that the studio serves as a social and cultural ecosystem where participants internalise cultural values, boost their self-confidence, and develop personal branding both offline and online. Specifically, participants demonstrated significant character development, gained community recognition, and used social media to amplify their cultural identities. The results support the integration of traditional art into youth identity formation by combining local heritage with digital expression. This research aims to analyse the integration of science and morals in Islamic education as an effective model for building the Rabbani Generation. The research method used is qualitative with interviews, observation, and documentation techniques in Islamic educational institutions. The results of the study show that the success of this model is supported by several key factors, namely the role of educators as moral role models, the integration of curriculum based on Islamic values, extracurricular activities that develop students' character, and a social environment that is conducive to the formation of Islamic behavior. This study concludes that a holistic approach that emphasises the integration of science and morals can form intellectually intelligent individuals with noble character. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with three cycles. The research subjects were 28 students. Data was obtained through problem-solving ability tests, observation of teacher activities, and student activities in learning. The research results show that the application of PMR is effective in improving students' problem-solving abilities. In cycle I, the students' average score reached 65.43 with classical completeness of 53.57%. This value increased to 72.86 in cycle II with classical completeness of 75.00%, and in cycle III it increased again to 80.23 with classical completeness of 89.28%. Apart from that, teacher activity in learning with PMR also increased from cycle to cycle, with the average value of teachers' ability to manage learning increasing from 3.00 in cycle I, to 3.25 in cycle II, and 3.45 in cycle III. Student learning activities also show an increase. In cycle I, the percentage of student activity was 62.50% (sufficient category), increased to 70.83% in cycle II (good category), and reached 78.57% in cycle III (active category). Students are more active in understanding contextual problems, discussing to find solutions, and summarising learning results. With these results, it can be concluded that the PMR approach can improve students' mathematical problem solving, student learning activities, and the effectiveness of teacher learning management. Therefore, PMR is recommended as a learning strategy that can be applied in mathematics learning at the high school level.
2025-06-26T00:00:00+08:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Mazlan, Wahyuni, Rosmiati https://journal.iainlangsa.ac.id/index.php/tarbawi/article/view/10823 Implementation of Qiroatul Kutub in Student Character Building at MA Matholi'ul Huda Bugel Jepara 2025-06-26T04:48:04+08:00 Muhammad Yusuf Asy'ari [email protected] Alex Yusron Al Mufti [email protected]
This study aims to obtain the results of Qiroatul Kutub learning as a tool for developing student character at MA Matholi'ul Huda Bugel Kedung Jepara.
