Abstract

This research aims to compare Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning methods in three types of educational institutions: Islamic Boarding Schools, Integrated Islamic Schools, and Government Schools. In this research the author focuses on the use of methods by teachers in the classroom to bring out students' Islamic character. The researcher pays attention to the characteristics, systems and supporting factors of learning in each institution. The method used was qualitative descriptive analysis with 11 PAI teachers in Takengon City as respondents. The research results show that there are no differences in learning methods at the three institutions. The only difference is the learning implementation system, material coverage and time allocation at each institution.
